Makenzie is a 21 year old hair stylist who resides in the small town of Groveland, Florida. She obtained a Cosmetology license immediately out of high school at Tenaj Salon institute. Giving her the ability to start her own business as well as help her family run their boutique.
Although she is a first generation cowgirl, her love for horses runs deep. As soon as she swung her foot over the saddle at 11 years old, competing in her first ever western pleasure show, she knew this was going to be a ride of a lifetime.
After competing in AQHA western pleasure shows across the state of Florida and even in to Texas she decided to give Rodeo Pageants a go. Providing her an opportunity to promote the western lifestyle that has made an impact to hers. She’s no stranger to traveling the state of Florida as she has held the titles of Miss Teen Rodeo Florida 2018, and Miss Silver Spurs 2019 through a two year Covid rein. Ready to take on new obstacles while still advocating for deep-rooted traditions, she is excited to grab this year by the reins as your new Miss Rodeo Florida 2023.
